Williamsburg Park Concert Series

There’s a new venue for outdoor concerts in Brooklyn this summer: Williamsburg Park. The popular OSA (Open Space Alliance) series that has taken place at the Williamsburg waterfront in previous years has found a new home in Williamsburg Park, located at North 12th Street and Kent Avenue.

The Williamsburg Park Concert Series has over 20 shows lined up. The new venue is larger with a capacity of about 7,000 people. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or to avoid service fees, at Sound Fix Records, Williamsburg’s independent record store on Berry Street, or The Best Buy Theater box office at 1515 Broadway (44th St.).

The concert series schedule includes a variety of acts, from Jane’s Addiction to Cake to My Morning Jacket. Shows continue throughout the summer and into the fall with Sublime with Rome on August 24, David Byrne on September 29, and Animal Collective on October 5.

If you don’t want to deal with the crowds, arrive early and take a seat on the sidewalk café of Kent Ale House for a crisp craft beer. These outdoor tables offer the perfect, comfortable spot to listen to the music while enjoying a brew from one of the 24 taps of craft beer, along with views of the Manhattan skyline.

Hungry during the concert? Order from the menu that includes options such as Build Your Own Burger, sandwiches, and salads. Here you can listen to the concert while sampling brews from Ommegang, Blue Point, Coney Island, and more.
